Prosperity Through Preservation

We take great pride in our long history, first as a rural outpost of Lynn in the 1600s, then as an independent town in the mid 1800s – home of the dory, but also home to women and men pioneers of religion, industry, and the arts.  Our success was built on the optimism of those that came before us, but also their respect for our shared responsibility to plan a sustainable community.  We've learned the hard way that irresponsible development can threaten the value of investments in our homes and businesses we’ve worked so hard to create.

Planning with a Vision

No amount of planning will make a difference unless it’s responsive to a vision we build together.  With the economy slowly improving and construction in Swampscott picking up quickly, now is the time to ask ourselves how we want to grow.  Do we wish for a vibrant town center with businesses that make us want to linger?  Are we committed to preserving open spaces for families to gather and play?  My answer is an enthusiastic "yes!"  I’m asking for your support so that we can continue and expand upon this dialogue.
